The iPhone X marks the tenth anniversary of Apple’s entry into the smartphone market, and the company took additional efforts and care to make sure that the iPhone X offers a futuristic design and a great performance. Apple had announced during the launch event that the iPhone X would be available for pre-orders in more than 55 countries (including India) starting October 27.

As promised, the Apple iPhone X will be available for pre-order through Flipkart starting October 27 at 12:31 PM. Amazon will commence pre-orders from October 27 mid-night. The base model of the iPhone X (i.e 64GB storage variant) will retail for Rs. 89,000 in India, while the higher-end variant (i.e 256GB storage) will cost Rs. 1,02,000. The phone will start shipping from November 3 in the country, and on the same day, it be available for purchase through authorised Apple resellers in India and around the globe.

Speaking about the features of the iPhone X, it comes with a 5.8-inch Super Retina screen (2436 x 1125 pixels @ 458ppi) with a bezel-less design. The screen supports HDR video playback through HDR10 and Dolby Vision standards. The phone has 12-megapixel dual rear-facing cameras with OIS on both sensors and 4K video recording at 60fps. There’s a 7-megapixel front-facing camera.
Under the hood, the iPhone X packs the company’s super speedy A11 Bionic hexa-core processing chipset which promises to be more powerful than some desktop-grade CPUs. There’s 3GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage space. It’s the first iPhone that uses Apple’s homegrown GPU. There’s no fingerprint reader, and Apple has replaced it with the company’s new FaceID scanner that scans a users face in 3D space for biometric authentication. All the hardware that’s required for 3D face scanning is present in the notch that’s just above the OLED screen. It is IP67 certified for dust and water resistance, and comes with stereo speakers. There’s no 3.5mm audio port on the iPhone X.
The Apple iPhone X supports 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, AirPlay, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC (for Apple Pay payments and NFC tag reading), and a Lightning port. The phone features a 2716mAh battery that supports rapid charging and Qi-compatible wireless charging. The phone competes with Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ as well as LG V30 and Google Pixel 2 XL.
