Asus announces its smartphones to get VoLTE support in India

Asus smartphones, specifically the Zenfone 3 series, Zenfone Max, and the Zenfone 2 Laser are all set to get VoLTE support. The company today announced that it has released over-the-air (OTA) updates that includes VoLTE support already and is expected reach these smartphones soon.

If you own any of these devices, you should be receiving the update on your phone in some time. In case you want to check if your smartphone has received the update, you need to go to Settings, About and then to System updates where it will show you the version of the software on your smartphone.

The company also plans to have a software update for the ZenFone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL) and the ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL), but at a later stage. Asus also recently launched the Zenfone 3s Max smartphone which comes with VoLTE support out of the box.

VoLTE support is available for the following smartphones:

  • Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.7-inch (ZS570KL)
  • Asus Zenfone 3 5.2-inch (ZE520KL)
  • Asus Zenfone 3 5.5-inch (ZE552KL)
  • Asus Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL)
  • Zenfone 3 Max 5.2 (ZC520TL)
  • Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5-inch (ZC553KL)
  • Asus Zenfone 3S Max 5.2-inch (ZC521TL)
  • Asus Zenfone Max ZC550KL ((2GB/16GB) / (2GB/32GB) / (3GB/32GB)
  • Asus Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE550KL (2GB/16GB) (3GB/16GB))
  • Asus Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL (2GB/16GB))

The following smartphones are said to receive VoLTE support soon:

  • Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL)
  • Asus Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL)
