Four Sony 2017 Xperia smartphones show up online ahead of official launch

Sony is set to bring 2017 Xperia lineup at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. Evan Blass, a reputed source for mobile leaks, has shared an image of the 2017 Xperia phones lineup. Although, there is no information on the model names and numbers.

Last year, Sony introduced its 2016 Xperia line of smartphones under the Xperia X series. This year, Sony’s two Xperia phones – G3221 and G3112 running the MediaTek’s Helio P20 chipset. The Sony Xperia G3221 comes with a Full HD display, packs 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage, and boots Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. This phone has a 16-megapixel camera on the front and 23-megapixel camera at the rear.

The Sony Xperia G3112 aka Sony Pikachu, on the other hand, features a 720p display and packs 3GB of RAM with 32GB built-in storage. This Xperia phone packs 21-megapixel rear-placed camera and an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

No details about the other two handsets are available yet. If you check the photo carefully, all four 2017 Xperia phones have a different bezel as well as camera arrangements.

We suspect the other two devices to be the new Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZ Compact. However, we recommend you to take that information with a pinch of salt. All four 2017 Xperia devices are expected to boot Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
