LG G6 to Have Improved Sound Quality Thanks to a 32-bit Quad-DAC

The LG G6 is one of the highly anticipated devices for this year. And as the day of its big reveal gets closer, more and more details emerge online. Today, it’s been reported that LG will be featuring a quad-DAC system for the sound output of this year’s flagship device.

LG’s Korean newsroom announced that LG will be improving the sound quality on the G6. Just as it had done with last year’s LG V20, the G6 will be equipped with an ESS-designed 32-bit quad-DAC system. The DAC on the G6 will be able to help improve the quality of the device, resulting to richer audio. Apart from this, the technology will be able to control both left and right earbuds on their own so it produces a more accurate sound.

This announcement debunks any rumor that LG will be eradicating the 3.5mm headphone jack on the G6, just like Apple has done with last year’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. And definitely, this is something positive for those who are not keen on the idea of a device with no headphone jack.

For now, we can expect the LG G6 to be equipped with a 5.7-inch display and a nearly bezel-less design. It is also rumored to operate on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB of RAM. The device is also said to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. As the device’s release date nears, we can expect LG to reveal more details about the G6 pretty soon.
