LG had confirmed its MWC 2017 event for the launch of the G6 on February 26. The South Korean company now has officially teased some features of the much awaited LG G6. The press invite suggest that the LG G6 would feature a 5.7-inch (1440 X 2880) Quad HD+ display with the tag line “Big Screen that Fits.” The display will have an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 564 ppi.
The press invite also states that “LG has announced that it applied a curved design to the edge of the LG G6 display to give it a soft and sophisticated feel. Other specifications of the LG G6 will include a Snapdragon 821 SoC, instead of the more powerful Snapdragon 835 due to supply shortage. There’s currently no information regarding RAM on the device, but rumours suggest 4GB of RAM on the LG G6.
LG had also confirmed a few months ago that they have lowered the heat by using heat pipes in the G6 and that the company has taken extra care and effort for to verify its safety and quality, especially after what happened with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The LG G6 will be waterproof, and is rumoured to feature wireless charging. The event will be happening at Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona, Spain, at 12 pm local time.[Source: LG]
