Mophie launches 2950mAh battery pack case for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Mophie has launched the much-awaited battery pack for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Mophie is a popular mobile accessories manufacturer, who focuses mainly on battery packs, wireless chargers, charging cables, and mobile mounts.

First of all, the Mophie Juice Pack for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a case that protects the device from impacts. Secondly, the case has an inbuilt 2950mAh battery, which according to Mophie provides the Note 8 up to 33 hours of extra battery backup, or 36 hours of extra talk time. Interestingly, the Mophie Juice Pack also has a wireless charging support. Therefore, if you have a Qi-based wireless charger, then you can use it to charge your case along with the smartphone. When you connect your device to the wireless charger, the case will first charge the device, and when the device charges fully, then the case will charge itself.

The Mophie Juice Pack also has built-in magnets with which you use the case with magnetic mounts. Not only the device will hold itself in position when you put in on a magnetic mount, but it can also charge the device alongside, provided that the magnetic mount is also Qi-based charger.

Talking about the design of the Mophie Juice Pack, it looks very simple and has a compact footprint too. At the bottom, there is a USB Type-C port and an opening for the Stylus. At the front bottom, there are two openings for the speaker and the microphone. On the back, the case has four tiny LEDs to show the amount of charge remaining in the battery pack and a button to switch the charging on.

The Galaxy Note 8 has a decent amount of battery capacity, 3300mAh to be precise. However, the battery size is smaller by 200mAh when compared to the Galaxy S8+, which has a 3500mAh battery. The smaller battery capacity is the major reason why many people prefer the Samsung Galaxy S8+ over the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. However, we hope that this new case from Mophie will help solve the issue.
