MWC 2017: Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ to be unveiled on March 29

Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book powered by Windows 10 at MWC 2017. And, as expected, the company also showcased a short teaser, confirming the launch date of the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus. Both these smartphones will be announced on March 29 at an event in New York. The teaser also gave away a few more details: the smartphones will have a dual-curved bezel-less screen with no physical home button up front.

We’ve already heard that the Galaxy S8 is rumoured to feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD display. It is also expected to pack 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The higher-end variant, i.e., the Galaxy S8 Plus will reportedly sport a 6.2-inch display, apart from which it offers the same specs as the base variant.

Therefore, both these smartphones will run on Snapdragon 835 SoC. However, the Exynos 8895 SoC is also rumoured to be used in few of the smartphones depending on the region. Both these smartphones are also expected to feature a 12-megapixel dual pixel camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The event is scheduled to take place at 11:00 EDT (9:30 PM IST) in New York on March 29, 2017. In addition to this, the company will also live stream the event on its official website as well as on its Youtube channel. Meanwhile, you also can have a look at our exclusive report to find out what’s on offer on both these smartphones.
