Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) Launched in India with Bixby Home and 5000mAh Battery


Samsung has launched the all new Galaxy Tab A (2017) in India. Priced at Rs 17,990 the Samsung Galaxy Tab A will be available on both offline and online retail channels. The Galaxy Tab A (2017) was originally unveiled in Vietnam last month and will be available in black and gold. Samsung has also incorporated the dedicated Bixby Home for the tablet.


The Galaxy Tab A (2017) comes equipped with an 8-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a Snapdragon 425 clocked at 1.4GHz and mated to 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, the tablet offers 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The camera department consists of an 8-Megapixel rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture along with an LED flash. The front camera is a 5-Megapixel sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) is an iterative upgrade, and it does come with a couple of new features laced with upgraded hardware. For instance, the predecessor offered a much smaller 7-inch WXGA display along with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.


The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) features a typical Samsung home button with fingerprint sensor baked within. At the bottom lies the fingerprint sensor and the speaker grill. Other interesting features include a Blue Light Filter that reduces blue light emission, Smart View, Samsung Flow, and a Game Launcher features that ensure that all the physical buttons are disabled while gaming.
