Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 gets a small price cut, now available for Rs.8,999

Xiaomi India has announced a permanent Rs.1,000 price cut for the Mi Air Purifier 2, which was launched in India in September last year for Rs.9,999. After the price cut, Xiaomi’s Mi Air Purifier can now be purchased for Rs.8,999. From Mi.com as well as Flipkart. It was already among the more affordable air purifiers on sale in India prior to the price cut, so the reduced price makes it an even better value.

The Mi Air Purifier 2 can throw clean air in an area of 400 sq. ft., making it ideal for living, dining, and bedrooms. Xiaomi’s air purifier is capable of removing PM2.5 particles and dust from air conditioners, germs, indoor plant pollen and even pet hair. In addition to cleaning the air, the Mi Air Purifier 2 also removes unpleasant odours from a room. Thanks to its high 310m/h Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR), the Mi Air Purifier 2 can circulate purifier air in a 21m room in just 10 minutes. The air purifier can create high air pressure for larger circulation, distributing fresh clean air to all corners of your room. One of the main highlights of the product is that it offers real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) monitoring. The sensor in the air purifier can detect PM2.5 concentration in the air and display in real-time on your phone. With the Mi Home app on your phone, you can control various functions such as turning the air purifier on or off, switching modes, create schedules, and of course, monitor home air quality in real-time.

The Air Purifier 2 is relatively silent as well, operating at a noise level of 30dB, thanks to advanced aerodynamics and a custom Japanese motor sourced from Nider. As for energy consumption, Xiaomi claims the air purifier only consumes about 4.8W when running in normal mode, lower than energy-saving lightbulbs.
